Britain's Largest Antiquarian Book Fair Returns to York

York Rare and Antiquarian Book Fair

The York 2025 Rare and Antiquarian Book Fair returns to York Racecourse later this week running September 12-13.

The fair has been running since 1974 
when it was first held with only 20 exhibitors at the White Swan Inn in York. Now held over two days, more than 200 of the country’s 
leading booksellers will be offering a wide range of books, maps, and prints,
 with two new exhibitors specialising in collectable posters. Around 100,000 books will be on sale

There will also be a range of trade stands selling 
marbled papers and binding materials, while providers of services to the book trade succh as software and packaging material suppliers will also be present.


The venue is easy to reach and has unlimited free parking. There is also a  free shuttle bus running 
from the Memorial Gardens near the main railway station every half an hour.


Entry is £2 on the door and tickets can be used all weekend. Advance
