Foreword by Malcolm Cowley, Afterword by John Updike. 55x73 mm, slipcase, 77 of 150 numbered copies. Signed by Cheever, Updike, and Cowley, and the book's designer Warren Chappell.
Two miniature Japanese scrolls (Japan, various dates)
Two scrolls, each in their own box. The first a love poem in two scripts with hand colored illustrations, silk brocade self wrapper on ivory spool, ribbon tie, 50x15 mm, rolled; the second a Buddhist Prayer scroll, silk brocade self wrapper on ivory spool, white silk chemise, two part red lacquer box with gilt titling, ribbon ties. Box measures 90x25 mm.
Miniature Bookplate Sample Book by Kiyoh-Hinboh (Sagamihara-shi, 2006)
Ten original wood-engraved bookplates printed on Gampi paper and one original copper-engraved bookplate printed on Japanese Hodomura paper. Accordion book, bound in rosewood, title label engraved in Kanji characters, with slipcase of Japanese Senkashi paper. Housed in a cloth pouch within a wooden box. 35x35 mm. Number 4 of 35 copies.
